During Close Up, which travels every two years to the nation’s capital, students will take part in exciting, challenging, and unforgettable activities as they breathe in the all that Washington D.C. has to offer. From visits to the famous sites of Washington to meetings with government officials, Close Up not only allows the student to see their government, but to experience it! Not only that, but the trip concludes in New York City! Broadway, Times Square, the 9/11 memorial, and other popular landmarks are included in three days.
Students earn money through working in the concessions at BHS, cake raffles, selling pizza kits, and numerous other fundraisers. For more information about the Close Up program go to www.closeup.org.
